Red Cross & Designers’ House A fabulous Fashion Event

Red Cross & Designers’ House A fabulous Fashion Event

This March Docklands will host a wonderful union between fashion and fundraising in the most luxurious and glamorous of ways.

The Blue Chip Committee of the Red Cross has teamed up with Designers’ House in organising a fabulous fashion event to raise important funds for the Victorian emergency services in what promises to be a wonderfully relaxing soirée with canapés prepared by Medici Restaurant and a little bubbly to set the mood for high fashion glamour.

Fundraising and designer fashion don’t always walk the runway together, but Designers’ House was extremely interested in supporting this great cause. “It allows us the opportunity to support a good cause and give back to the community, hosting a fashion event within the store seemed to be an ideal opportunity” said Izabela Taseski, of Designers’ House.

The Blue Chip Committee has been an autonomous volunteer committee of the Red Cross since 1979 and to date has fundraised approximately $500,000 assisting with funds on different proposals. Last year during the Black Saturday bushfire disaster, the Blue Chip Committee provided $40,000 to set up a room as a Headquarters for the emergency services to enable a central base for coordinating efforts.

“We have worked closely with the emergency services of Victoria too and we are looking forward to this event at Designers’ House.” Said Jenny Mayne, an inaugural member of the Blue Chip Committee.

Designer fashions, good food, champagne and a good cause, what better way to invest your time!
