Welcome to our first issue for 2010.
The start of a new year is always an exciting time; it’s an opportunity for new beginnings, a time to commit to change and a chance to ponder the future. I think our first issue is reflective of this, beginning with our cover featuring Convesso, set to be Australia’s greenest luxury residential tower, giving us a glimpse into the future for Docklands. Our New Beginnings spread offers some options to explore new interests in 2010, while our story on Cycles of Opportunity is a chance to get involved in eliciting life affecting changes to the lives of others.
With the Vancouver Winter Olympics only weeks away, the biggest news in Docklands would have to be the opening of the Icehouse. 3008 spoke to Geoff Henke, Chairman of the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia, about what the Icehouse means for not only Docklands, but Melbourne on a local and international scale.
Lastly but certainly not least, we are proud to bring you all the program information you’ll need as the Melbourne International Boat & Leisure Festival splashes into Docklands, followed by the Wooden Boat Festival, and Variety Splash.
And so much more!
